Coconut Caramel Palitaw
Coconut Caramel Palitaw is a delicious Filipino dessert made from glutinous rice flour balls, cooked and garnished with caramel-like brown sugar syrup, grated coconut and toasted seeds. A sweet and chewy treat with rich coconut flavor.
Ingredients
- glutinous rice flour2 cups
- coconut milk1/2 cup
- water1/2 cup
- grated coconut1 cup
- brown sugar syrup1/3 cup

Preparation

Mix the glutinous rice flour with coconut milk and water until a smooth dough forms.

Form small balls from the dough and flatten them slightly.

Bring water to a boil in a pot.

Drop the palitaw balls into the boiling water and cook until they float to the surface.

Scoop the cooked palitaw out of the water and let drain.

Arrange the palitaw on a plate.

Pour the brown sugar syrup over the palitaw.
